Please use this secure online form if you wish to make a complaint to the Police Ombudsman’s Office. We deal with complaints about the conduct of:

  • Police officers and some others employed by the Police Service of Northern Ireland;
  • Belfast Harbour Police;
  • Belfast International Airport Police;
  • Ministry of Defence Police in Northern Ireland (serious cases);
  • National Crime Agency officers in Northern Ireland (serious cases);
  • Immigration and Border Agency officials in Northern Ireland (serious cases);
  • Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery officers (serious cases).

Before you start

We will need some information from you to begin dealing with your complaint. This includes:

  • Your contact details, including your email address, so we can get in touch with you about your complaint;
  • Details about who you are complaining about to help us identify them;
  • Date(s), time(s) and location(s) of the incident(s).
  • A description of the police behaviour you are complaining about.
